Addressing License CLL Issues in SQL Compliance Manager

by Nov 9, 2017

IDERA has recently updated the license library for our products which has caused some of our customers to receive a license prompt upon launching the console. In order to resolve this issue, please follow the steps listed below:

Check to see if you are impacted

  • Activate the SQL Compliance Manager console and confirm that you are able to access your managed instances as expected.
  • Confirm that scheduled audits are operating as expected

If you observe no product issues, no additional action is required.

Upgrade your license library if required

Should you determine that you have a problem with your SQL Compliance Manager license keys, please follow the procedure below to replace your license key library (DLL) with a newer one provided by the IderaUpdate Utility.

  • Regardless of the method used, all consoles must be CLOSED before updating the DLL.
  • Please check Task Manager to ensure that all IDERA product related processes are closed.

IderaUpdate only replaces the License4Net.dll.  It makes no other changes to your installation.
