Agent Stops Running Frequently

I have recently added a new client to our uptime monitoring. The install and initialisation of the client seemed to go fine. However I keep getting error messages saying uptime cannot see the client agent.

When I log in to the server I can see that the agent has stopped running. You can start it up again, but after about a minute it stops.

I did try searching the forum first, but I couldn't find what I am looking for.

I'll provide a few details of my setup:

uptime 5.0
The agent is 5.3.0 (I used an older version as it had windows server 2000 in the title…)
Windows server 2000 SP4
