We’re excited to announce the release of SQL Inventory Manager 2.6.3
Database administrators need a simple, efficient way to discover, document, and manage their SQL Server environment as the organisation changes. It is important to have a way to make an inventory and determine which SQL Servers need oversight and maintenance. SQL Inventory Manager offers an organised web-based dashboard that captures core information about the entire inventory of SQL Servers across the environment. IDERA SQL Inventory Manager lets you discover, track, and manage your SQL Server environment from a simple, lightweight web interface and is designed to be quick to install and easy to use.
What’s New in SQL Inventory Manager 2.6.3?
The SQL Inventory Manager 2.6.3 release is focused on addressing the highest priority customer value cases to SQL Inventory Manager.
End of Life and Extended Support for Windows Server 2008/2008 R2
Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008/2008 R2 have both met their end-of-life and the extended support by Microsoft on July 9, 2019. End-of-life and extended support means the end of regular security updates for any product from Microsoft. Accordingly, SQL Inventory Manager 2.6.3 no longer supports Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008/2008 R2. The 2008 products were outstanding for their time, however, Idera highly recommends upgrading to the most current versions for better performance, efficiency, and regular security updates for your testing and production environments.
