by Jul 13, 2018

We are pleased to announce the general availability of SQL Enterprise Job Manager 2.2. Existing users may upgrade to this version through the IDERA Customer Portal. New users may download the trial version from the IDERA website.

SQL Enterprise Job Manager provides an easy-to-use web solution that helps monitor SQL Server Agent jobs across the enterprise. From one single web console, DBAs can get an overview of scheduled jobs across multiple SQL Server instances and edit/add new jobs. Viewing your job history and receiving alert notifications for the most critical job status has never been easier with SQL Enterprise Job Manager 2.2.

What's New in SQL Enterprise Job Manager?

  • Updated Schedule page designed for customers with large amounts of jobs
The Schedule page displays all SQL Server Agent Jobs and Windows Tasks across your environment. This page has been updated to give users the ability to view schedules from a high-level summary and drill down to a more detailed view
  • Updated filtering functionality that facilitates quick identification of problems in large environments
The ability to filter data on various pages have been updated to allow users to find data faster.
  • Full support for SQL Server 2016 and SQL Server 2017
SQL Enterprise Job Manager 2.2 includes support for both Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and SQL Server 2017 running on a Windows operating system.
  • Product compatibility with TLS 1.2 to support updated security and PCI requirements
TLS stands for Transport Layer Security and it is the cryptographic protocol that is used when connecting to a server securely. TLS v1.0 is no longer considered secure by industry standards and has gradually been discontinued across various environments. As such, SQL Enterprise Job Manager now supports TLS 1.2, the latest version of TLS.
