Announcing the GA Release of SQL Safe Backup 8.6

by Dec 21, 2019

We are pleased to announce the general availability of SQL Safe Backup 8.6.

IDERA SQL Safe Backup provides a mission-critical backup and recovery solution for Microsoft SQL Server deployments in environments ranging from small business and departmental to large scale enterprise. For all of these environments, SQL Safe Backup drastically lowers the cost of ownership for managing ongoing SQL Server backup/restore and verify operations.

SQL Safe Highlights:

  • For restore operations, SQL Safe Instant Restore brings SQL Server databases back online faster than any solution in the market.

  • Directly mount backup files as Virtual Databases allowing almost instant access for Object Level Restore, Point-in-time selection and full native SQL Server and third-party application access with no need for lengthy restore operations.

  • SQL Safe provides flexible backup, restore or verify data target support across any combination of data center, AWS, Azure and select Enterprise Storage products.

  • Deploy, manage and operate in the data center, AWS or Azure.

  • The SQL Safe policy engine makes it easy to design, manage and edit automation policies to implement both simple and complex, automated data protection schemes.

  • Provides reductions in database backup times by up to 50% over native backups and reduces backup disk space requirements by up to 95%.
