We’re excited to announce the release of SQL Workload Analysis 1.7.1
Problematic SQL queries can severely reduce the performance of SQL Server and the business-critical applications that it supports. With the SQL Workload Analysis add-on to SQL Diagnostic Manager, users can continuously monitor and analyze server workload, leverage the simple user interface that focuses on wait states and application performance, and troubleshoot problematic SQL code from changes made to database applications. IDERA SQL Workload Analysis provides a granular breakdown of SQL Server wait states with easy drill-down to isolate problems quickly. It delivers valuable real-time and historical data to help tune queries as well as actionable recommendations to improve performance.
What's New in SQL Workload Analysis 1.7.1?
The SQL Workload Analysis 1.7.1 release is focused on addressing specific customer requests pertaining to the install and upgrade process. These provide real value to SQL Workload Analysis and also SQL Diagnostic Manager.
End of Life and Extended Support for Windows Server 2008/2008 R2
Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008/2008 R2 have both met their end-of-life and the extended support by Microsoft on July 9, 2019. End-of-life and extended support means the end of regular security updates for any product from Microsoft. Accordingly, SQL Workload Analysis 1.7.1 no longer supports Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008/2008 R2. The 2008 products were outstanding for their time, however, Idera highly recommends upgrading to the most current versions for better performance, efficiency, and regular security updates for your testing and production environments.
