Automatic Login For Autonomous Monitoring Displays

by Jun 23, 2011

I'm currently in the process of building a Network Operations Center (NOC). I have several pc monitors dedicated to displaying Uptime Service Monitor Status.

For security purposes, we have to reboot the PC workstations that are used to show the Uptime Monitors.

What I would like to do is to have the browsers automatically navigate to the Uptime Service pages. (such as one displaying the Global Scan All Services screen).

For this to happen, I need to bypass the login -or- use the current Windows user (authenticated via AD) -or- hard code the login/password and hide them within a frame set.

Regarding security for this, all I would want is a User Read-Only role. (sort of like the Uptime MySql “report” account.)

Btw… I have tried the “Append the user to the URL” suggestion and it doesn't work if the user has not logged in to Uptime.

Thanks for any help you can give me on this.
