To get more insight, it would be useful to have some network card performance data collected (bytes/sec read/write). Similar to the collection of performance data for all disk drives you could also collect performance data of all network cards. This would allow, for example, to check if the data is flowing through the desired NICs. On bigger Servers we have one network card for client traffic, one for backup traffic and one for db mirroring traffic (Availability Groups).
