Is there a way through css, config, default setting or individual properties to customize the ERDs relationship lines?
The relationship lines are a very dim especially when projected.

We currently don’t offer a way to customize the ERD relationship lines.
We purposely dim the relationship lines when the zoom level < 100 in order to alleviate performance issues on very large ER diagrams. We're investigating further for possible options. Niels Gron over 10 years ago In the ER Modeler, the option menu Window->[Faster Rendering] will change the behavior of how to render the relationship lines based on zoom level. This is to control performance on large models.

We’d like to better understand your use case. Is the issue you are facing that when the zoom level < 100%, the gray lines which denote the relationship between tables are too light in color to see properly on your projector?
I've attached a sample ER Diagram with a zoom level < 100%. If we used a more vibrant color (e.g. green) instead of the current gray color would that meet your needs?

Sounds like a good and simple solution.
If you could extend the Fast Rendering and give several thickness option for the relationship that would be even better, but if you could do a green color quickly I would certainly take it.
Thank you very much for your quick response

I’ve logged an issue here: https://www.aquaclusters.com/app/home/project/public/aquadatastudio/issue/8278. We’re investigating the complexity to see what we can deliver as a patch to v12.
I’d still like to understand your use case better so could you describe your scenario? e.g. Are you using a laptop connected to a projector (projector’s resolution?) and projecting on to a screen size of approximately ??? and that people in the back of the room can’t see the dimmed gray lines…?
Also, whether Fast Rendering is on or off, do you notice any appreciable performance difference?

Sachin,
To honest projected or not I always find them difficult to see. It is just worse when projected. My ERD are quite large, I may reduce the column in the tables but the the relationships and their cardinalities are critical to the reasons why I generate the ERDs in the first place.
Hope this make sense.
Thank you for your help and taking the time to investigate

Hi Bertrand,
We should have a patch ready by tomorrow with the line color options, but we won’t create a line thickness option as that is significantly more involved.
Could you answer the following question? (I’m asking the below question because you will need to turn off Fast Rendering in order to use one of the color options. See https://www.aquaclusters.com/app/home/project/public/aquadatastudio/issue/8278 for further detail.)
Also, whether Fast Rendering is on or off, do you notice any appreciable performance difference?
Thanks

The Fast Rendering on is better because the dashed lines turn into solid lines but the luminosity or contrast are still not significantly better for me. I am ok with not having options, but could the default be darker green solid line?
again thank you for jumping on this

We have added the ability to change the line colors as noted in issue #8278. Please note that “Fast Rendering” is a performance optimization we implemented for extremely large ER diagrams. You should turn off fast rendering if you want to see the color options take effect.
The Fast Rendering on is better because the dashed lines turn into solid lines…
If you are always interested in seeing solid lines instead of dashed lines, then I suggest using the “One to Many” Relationship instead of the “One to Many (NI)” Relationship. The “One to Many” relationship is always rendered with a solid line, regardless of Fast Rendering.
