Error While Pinging: Unable To Resolve Hostname

I have this error from time to time, and I’m not sure where it comes from. I can ping the server in the error from the Uptime server using IP or Hostname. Does the Uptime software have some place internally that may have a DNS/Ping issue? I use the “test service monitor” which fails, perhaps there is a naming issue in the monitor itself? Is there a specific format to use?
