Installing 6.0.1 Monitoring Station On Solaris

by Jun 12, 2012

Hi

I'm trying to do a clean install of the 6.0.1 monitoring station on a Solaris 10 update 10 system. After the install runs and I connect to the web GUI, I get the Data Collector is Unavailable error. Looking more closely, I think the datastore did not set up properly.

/opt/uptime/datastore/data is empty.

Running /etc/init.d/uptime_datastore stop
bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/opt/uptime/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)'
Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/opt/uptime/mysql/mysql.sock' exists!

Are there some manual steps I have to take outside of the user guide to set up the datastore?

Thanks
