Is It Possible To Manually Uninstall Agent On Solaris Zone?

by Apr 27, 2013

Hi,

I am upgrading the agent on a Solaris (SunOS 5.10) global container with 5 zones. When uninstalling (from the GC) I got errors for 2 of the zones with the message :

## Removing package from zone
pkgrm: ERROR: unable to change current working directory to

Removal of on zone failed (internal error).
No changes were made to the system.

I cannot reinstall uptime as port 9998 is in use for those 2 zones. Going to the zone directly and trying to uninstall fails with :

bash-3.00# pkgrm uptimeagent
pkgrm: ERROR: no package associated with

Can I manually stop the uptime process and remove the necessary files so that a reinstall will work? And if so, what steps do I need to take to accomplish it?

Thanks,
Michael.
