Is there a way to select a row in the results set and display it as a pivoted grid or form?

by Nov 4, 2013

I’d like the ability to select a row in the results tab, click a function which will pivot that row into a grid (selection column names listed in the first grid column, values listed in the 2nd grid column) to make the values for that row more easily readable.

I see there are multiple options for viewing a cell in a variety of formats (with text editor being the closest to what I’m looking for) but it doesn’t bring with it the column names.

Hello Tom,

The most convenient way to do this is to enable the “Form Results” for the Results pane by clicking its button in the Main Application Button Toolbar. It’s just below the “Window” menu text.

Form Results display a single row’s content, allowing you to navigate next and previous rows, as well as directly entering a row number.

See our attached screenshot.

We list all of our various Results types in our documentation here:

Let us know if this is what you are looking for.

Since we’ve started this topic, can I also make a recommendation/enhancement request?

When switching from Grid to Form view, the Form returns to Row 1, instead of the current row that is highlighted. Is there a way to have the Form be the first row, of the rows currently selected instead?
