The Windows setting for the number of lines scrolled when you use the mouse wheel applies to the database explorer panel as well as to the results pane. However in the editor window the Windows setting is ignored and the content scrolls by approximately 15 lines. I find this disconcerting, always having to check to see if I’ve missed the line I’m looking for!
Is there a way to configure haw many lines the scroll wheel moves in the editor pane? If so, where?
Thank you for your time.

Default line scroll units are based on default Java implementation. On Windows 8.1 with Aqua Data Studio 14 using Java 1.6.0_43 the line units is 3/4 lines. I am not sure how you are getting 15 lines per scroll.
Can you provide Help->[Support Information]-> Version & Operating Environment, and screenshot to illustrate?

Sorry for the delay in replying as I was on holiday!
In preparing the information you requested, I discovered what appears to be a connection to the size of the Aqua Data Studio window! I shrank the window to about half the height, for the screen shot, and the wheel scroll moved 7 lines!
I have placed the images in a Word document as well as the Support Information and attached the zip of these files.

Hi,
From your screenshots as well as us trying it on our machines, the editor scrolling behavior is as expected. The editor never fully scrolls beyond the visible text. It scrolls about 75%. Since the scrolling is a percentage based off the # of lines of visible text, the scrolling will vary based upon window height.

Thank you for the response. As far as I am aware this “75%” functionality is not standard Windows scroll wheel functionality and I can’t see it replicated in any other IDE I use. NielsGron also has said that he was expecting a scroll of 3/4 lines.
If it is what it is, I will adapt or scroll using the scroll bar.
Thanks.

Hi,
If it is what it is, I will adapt or scroll using the scroll bar.
Yes, the current behavior is working as intended.
