Precise Upgrade – Release Cadence 2X per year | It pays to stay current

Precise is on a release cadence of twice per year.  Precise version 9.7.0's theme is infrastructure modernization.  The release notes are on the Precise portal:  Precise 9.7.0 Release Notes.  Three step process:

1.  Download precise_970_GA.zip

2.  Run the UpgradeVerifier per the instructions in the readme file.  It can be found in the utilities folder.  A clean run is required before the upgrade wizard will permit starting.

3.  Do not unzip the upgrade.zip file, simply point to it via AdminPoint, Management, Updates, Apply Updates button.

Use the blue arrow to move the upgrade to the apply screen.

Select the servers and the upgrade wizard does almost everything.

Instructions are included for tasks that need to be completed manually.
