Well thanks to the Cloud, Pre-Sales Engineers, Solutions Engineers and Architects can now use the cloud to implement Proof of Concepts in a simplified manner.
This post will focus on two primary aspects relating to a PoC.
1) IaaS –> Infrastructure as a Service
2) DaaS –> Database as a Service
The Infrastructure as a Service entails the setting up of your hardware environment needed for the PoC.
These would include but not limited to the following
- Virtual Machines
- Virtual Networks
- Storage
- Directory Services and many more
The Database as a Service entails the setting up a Database Platform in the Cloud.
The platforms currently supported are
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Oracle
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- IBM DB2
- Sybase ASE and many more!
