SQL Performance

by Jun 6, 2017

We recently migrated our SQL production from a physical server (cluster) running Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise with SQL 2008 R2 Enterprise to a virtual environment running Windows 2012 R2 with SQL 2008 R2 Standard.  The virtual environment has more resources assigned to it than the previous physical environment.  We were not using an SQL Enterprise features so this is why when we moved the databases to the new server we installed SQL 2008 R2 Standard vise Enterprise.  We are running SQL 2008 R2 because the application vendor does not currently support SQL 2012 or higher with the version of the application we are running.

SQLdm is showing a pretty healthy environment yet performance since the move is very much degraded.
