For years now the SQLSafe Management Console has restricted the number of lines of recent backups it displays to 1,000. We have some policies that have jobs that stay for 6 months but the Console is only capable of showing us the past month or so. Given storage and RAM on modern systems, why is this 1,000 line limit still in place? I should be able to show any events that still have a valid backup in the original storage destination for pretty much indefinitely. It should be on us to ensure we have sufficient room to store the logging information not Idera to decide how much we are allowed to store and view.
