The Up.time Agent Windows Service Terminated Unexpectedly

by Jan 31, 2012

Hello,

The up.time agent service is terminating unexpectedly at random time from 2 to 4 times a day. Each time those events are written to the Windows system log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7031
Date: 1/30/2012
Time: 2:34:31 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SERVER1
Description:
The up.time agent service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 57 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

Event Type: Information
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7036
Date: 1/30/2012
Time: 2:35:31 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SERVER1
Description:
The up.time agent service entered the running state.

To have more informations from the uptime.agent I enabled this registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREuptime softwareup.time agentDebug=1

Here's the corresponding error I found in C:Program Filesuptime softwareup.time agentlog.txt :

2 4658 2012/01/30 02:34:31.523 329, ….SrcsAgent.cpp Wait Failed “87 (0x57): The parameter is incorrect. “
2 4658 2012/01/30 02:34:31.523 336, ….SrcsAgent.cpp “Unrecoverable socket error, terminating”

Is it a known problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
