Uptime Client – Ldap Errors

by Apr 19, 2011

I have Uptime client running on 20 identical
Solaris 10 servers. All run fine. All are set up identically.
All have local accounts for Uptime.

One server is logging the following ldap errors in /var/adm/messages
every few minutes.
When I stop uptime, they stop.
I can't work it out.

inetd[3166]: [ID 292100 daemon.warning] libsldap: could not remove 10.43.12.12 from servers list
inetd[3166]: [ID 293258 daemon.warning] libsldap: Status: 7 Mesg: Session error no available conn.
inetd[3175]: [ID 293258 daemon.warning] libsldap: Status: 81 Mesg: openConnection: simple bind failed – Can't contact LDAP server
psinfo[5370]: [ID 293258 user.warning] libsldap: Status: 7 Mesg: Session error no available conn.

P.S. LDAP is used for user accounts. It is setup fine and works fine on the server.
All LDAP tests pass.
I can log onto the server as uptime just fine.
