As a DBA with over 1200 databases ranging from 5 MB to 500 GB in size and a total of over 8 TB all together, maintaining enough storage for backups was getting problematic. I would keep asking my SAN admin for more room, my SAN admin would keep asking “what the heck are you storing”!
SQL Safe Backup has allowed me to compress the backups on 5 server with the largest databases. According to my dashboard, I save almost 1.01 TB a day (78% compression).
