Announcing the General Availability of IDERA SQL Secure 4.3

We are excited to announce the general availability of IDERA SQL Secure 4.3.

IDERA SQL Secure empowers users to identify vulnerabilities in SQL Server configurations and access, establish robust security policies and baselines, and receive alerts for potential risks. With a single-button selection, SQL Secure simplifies the configuration of security policies across SQL Server and Azure SQL databases to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI, CIS, SOX, DISA/STIG, NERC, and FERPA. The flexible alerting rules system enables notifications for significant, suspicious, or undesired activities.

What’s New in SQL Secure 4.3?

The IDERA SQL Secure 4.3 release is focused on addressing the highest priority customer value cases along with exciting features and enhancements while providing significant usability improvements with cost benefits for both small and large customer installations.

Schedule Snapshots at the Policy Level

With IDERA SQL Secure 4.3, users can now easily schedule snapshots at the policy level. This new capability allows for the seamless execution of scheduled snapshots across all instances associated with a policy. By eliminating the need to schedule snapshots individually for each instance, users can achieve greater efficiency and save valuable time during security assessments.

Enhanced Certificate Private Keys Management

With the ‘Certificate Private Keys Check’, users now have the ability to ignore system-supplied certificate private keys or create an exclusion list to exclude specific keys from the security assessment. This capability empowers administrators to tailor their security checks based on their specific requirements, enhancing the overall security footprint of their SQL Server environments.

Query/Filter for Active Employees

IDERA SQL Secure 4.3 introduces the ability to add a query or filter to identify active employees. Users can now easily distinguish between enabled and disabled accounts in Active Directory, enhancing the accuracy of security assessments.

Support for SQL Server 2022

IDERA SQL Secure 4.3 extends its support to include auditing for SQL Server 2022. Users can now leverage the advanced auditing capabilities of the IDERA SQL Secure to ensure the security and compliance of their SQL Server 2022 deployments.
